TRANSLATION

The candidate of the Allied Congress Party of Nigeria (ACPN) and a former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili has withdrawn from the Presidential race.

Oby said she would now be focusing on helping to build a Coalition for a viable alternative to the All Progressive Congress (APC) and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 general elections.

She announced her withdrawal her in a series of tweet on official and verified twitter handle on Thursday morning.

In a statement issued by the spokesperson for the Obiageli Ezekwesili Presidential Campaign Organisation, Ozioma Ubabukoh, Ezekwesili was quoted as saying that her decision to withdraw from the race followed extensive discussions with Nigerians at home and in the Diaspora.
